Modern design and materials blend seamlessly with a wealth of original features in this beautifully balanced Adela design.
This generously proportioned country kitchen in Cornwall was designed by Williams & Sons founder Dale Williams and is a great example of how a traditional handmade kitchen – in a traditional farmhouse setting – can embrace modern materials and design ideas, yet retain all its integrity.
Natural wooden worktops were carefully matched to complement the original beams, range mantle, and warm cream tones used throughout the cabinetry. In contrast to the traditional materials, the central island features a modern submerged sink, with equally modern polished concrete worktops and plenty of integrated storage.
The large kitchen island provides plenty of space for preparing food or entertaining guests and features a submerged sink, concrete worktops and plenty of integrated storage.
The AGA is a prime focal point of this kitchen and is inset against exposed brickwork, framed by an original wooden mantel.
Stainless steel appliances provide a contemporary flourish to this traditional farmhouse kitchen. The integrated wine rack above the large fridge freezer is a particularly nice touch.
